It’s Tuesday. I’m a big fan of the 1994 film “The Crow.” It stars Brandon Lee, in his final film appearance, as Eric Draven, a musician who is resurrected from the dead to seek vengeance against the gang who brutally murdered him and his fiancée. The legend of the crow is, it is believed that the crow carries souls to the land of the dead, but if the person died in tragic circumstances, the crow can resurrect their restless spirit to set things right.
A modern reimagining of “The Crow” has been made starring Bill Skarsgård as Eric Draven and Shelly Webster (FKA twigs) are brutally murdered when the demons of her dark past catch up with them. Given the chance to save his true love by sacrificing himself, Eric sets out to seek merciless revenge on their killers, traversing the worlds of the living and the dead to put the wrong things right. Release is scheduled for August.
