The front wheels are powered by a 160 horsepower electric motor, while a 495 horsepower V8 gasoline engine powers the rear wheels for a total output of 655 horsepower. With a 0-60 MPH time of just 2.5 seconds, it’s the fastest accelerating Corvette ever.
I’ve seen numerous videos from the press and individuals reviewing the E-Ray, but until now I hadn’t heard what it sounds like under a hard acceleration. The electric motor gives it a slight but noticeable sci-fi sound and it’s pretty cool!
