Spooky Season

It’s Monday. I had a really nice weekend. The weather was perfect with blue skies and temperatures in the low to mid 80s. The girlfriend and I went out to the Corn Fest in Morris, Illinois, on Saturday. What the hell is that, you ask? It’s an annual festival every Fall with live music, crafts, and lots of food. We checked out the craft show and bought some Halloween decorations. After that we picked up a bunch of food. I’m talkin’ jalapeƱo sausage, a garlic pork poorboy, corn on the cob, a corn dog, popcorn, and kettle corn. It’s a couple days later and I’m still full.

Once again I decided not to watch the Bears game on Sunday. They played the Bronco’s and from what I understand, lost again. Instead, on Sunday I recorded the Nascar race in Talladega so I could crank up my music and enjoy being outside washing up my van and Corvette. I loved every minute of it. Later that night I watched the race while slurping down some homemade minestrone soup.

So October has arrived and with it comes Spooky Season! If you come across any good Halloween displays, snap a few photos and send ’em in!
