It’s Monday. Just taking it easy writing this update on Sunday night while watching the Nascar race in Nashville. The dog, Abby, is working on a bone and the girlfriend is doing some work on the couch. It was a lazy Sunday and those are always the best.
A buddy and I got together on Saturday afternoon and headed out to the Big Basin Saloon on the Des Plains river. They have a large deck with water access and a marina, so every now and then throughout the summer we drop in for drinks and check out all the watercraft coming and going. It was a really hot day with a fishing tournament underway so there was a fair amount of traffic. There was a good variety with plenty of bass boats, pontoons, speed boats, ski boats, and several tug boats. It’s not a fancy place, but when it comes to places on the water it’s about as good as it gets in our area.

Since it’s Monday, I put together a special babe gallery to help boost spirits today. Enjoy!
Reader’s Rides
It’s Tuesday. I love it when my readers send in photos of their toys and that’s exactly what I have for today. Featured today is a 1997 Chevrolet ½ ton pickup owned by Darryl. It’s a damn nice looking truck that’s still rolling with its original engine and 190,000 miles on the clock. The paint is good and the Cragar SS wheels give it a classic look. Very cool, thanks for sharing the photos!

Good day, My Lounge buddy has a few older GMC pickups he thought you would be interested in for your many fans.
Maybe I’ll get him to share the rest. This is his story.
I bought this 97 Chevy ½ ton , all paint and body original in 2006 from a government sale with 261,00kms (161,000 miles) and only 1 driver drove it until the sale.
I put a new front end under it at 280,000kms (173,000 miles) and bucket seats. It now has 307,000kms (190,000 miles) on the V6 4.3L original engine, transmission and differential. She still rides and drives like new and the A/C still works great.
Thanks for sharing Darryl/Andy
