It’s Thursday. One of my readers recently participated in an event known as The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride in Cardiff, Penarth and Barry Island, South Wales U.K. The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride creates themed rideouts across the Globe to raise awareness and funds for male charitable causes. Founder Mark Hawwa hit upon the inspiration for the ‘dressing dapper’ theme in 2012, when he saw a photo of Don Draper from TV show Mad Men sitting on a classic bike while wearing a suit. Spending the day out on the bike with 300 other motorcycle enthusiasts while raising awareness and funds for men’s health issues? Sounds like win-win to me! Last Sunday I rode my motorcycle in smart attire through Cardiff, Penarth and Barry Island, South Wales U.K. with around 300 other bikers to raise awareness of men’s health issues. I’ve attached some pictures for this great cause, not too late to contribute at https://gfolk.me/RobertEdmunds207899
There was food and music at the start and finish, the band was the Taf Rapids String band, bluegrass and very good.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was founded in Sydney, Australia, by Mark Hawwa. It was inspired by a photo of TV Show Mad Men’s Don Draper astride a classic bike and wearing his finest suit. Mark decided a themed ride would be a great way of connecting niche motorcycle enthusiasts and communities while raising funds to support the men in our lives.
