It’s Tuesday. On Sunday, Josef Newgarden ended 11 years of frustration and won the 107th running of the Indianapolis 500 for team owner Roger Penske. It was a very exciting race to watch, but the car that caught my eye wasn’t an Indy car, it was the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 hardtop convertible. One of my readers was at the race and kindly sent in the photos of the pace car featured today and they’re absolutely beautiful! If I had the cash, this would be my choice. It just looks simply amazing in Red Mist Metallic, carbon fiber accents, and racing graphics. This was the 20th Corvette to serve as the official pace car and in my opinion—the best ever.

Midweek Amateur Goodness
It’s Wednesday. Having Monday off sure does speed up the week. It would be nice if we could adopt a 4-day work week, eh? If you happen to live in countries like South Africa, Belgium, Iceland, and Japan then you might be in luck because all four are currently testing out a 4-day work week. I seriously doubt we’ll see that here in the States, at least not on a country level.
Anyway, I have some new amateur goodness for today. I apologize for the low resolution of the photo. I requested a high-res version, but never heard back. Enjoy…
