It’s Monday. Not a very exciting weekend for me. We had mostly cloudy and cooler weather both Saturday and Sunday. I got a few things done around the house, played ball with Abby (many times), did some reading, and got some work done. See, not exactly exciting stuff.

I did catch the Nascar race in Richmond on Sunday and enjoyed that while stuffing my face with chips & salsa. Surprisingly, Kevin Harvick won for the second week in a row. Only two more races until the playoffs.

Oh, I almost forgot about the Chicago Bears playing their first preseason game on Saturday. I know these preseason games don’t matter, but it was fun seeing the team play under a new head coach. They went up against the Kansas City Chiefs and managed to turn the game around in the second half and take the win. It felt a little weird watching football in August, but it’s already getting cooler, so why not?

It’s Friday! End of summer? Noooo! Not yet. Please, God, not yet! It’s cooling off in the Chicagoland area and it’s making me a little nervous. The temperature has gone from the toasty 90s to the low 80s and 70s in just a few days. I am in no way prepared for such a drastic change this early in August. Damn you Mother Nature, damn you!

I have a new amateur photo to share with everyone today. And that’s not all, no sir! I’ve expanded the babes and jokes just for today! Not a bad way to wrap up the week, eh? Enjoy!

It’s Thursday. The girlfriend and I took the day off yesterday to take the Vette out for a long overdue spin. The weather was great, too. We had clear blue skies with a temperature in the mid eighties—perfect drop top weather.

We did a lot of driving around the Des Plaines, Kankakee, and the Illinois rivers. We have friends that have a place on the Kankakee river, so we stopped out to check it out. They’ve made some changes since we were last out there, like this crows nest with a skeleton pirate up in a tree watching over their house (pictured right). Pretty cool.

Had a great day, got lots of sun, and can’t wait to do it again!
