It’s Monday. I had a very uneventful weekend. I spent most of my Saturday getting all my tax info together. I’ve never been one to get them done early. Instead I put it off until, well, usually the beginning of April. So, in a way I guess you could say that I’m doing it early this year.

I spent Sunday doing some work while watching the Nascar race in Texas. And a damn good race it was. I then switched over to the Oscars. A few moments ago Will Smith just got up from his seat, walked on the stage, and punched Chris Rock in the face! Chris Rock had just made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair and obviously Will Smith didn’t like it. The joke seemed harmless until I learned that Jada has alopecia. Sooo… yeah, a pretty uncomfortable situation.

And then Will Smith wins best actor and delivers an emotional speech about love.

Wild stuff.

It’s Sunday! By now just about everyone has seen the footage of the red Chevy pickup that not only survived being tossed around by a Texas tornado, but made it back on all four wheels and was able to continue driving as though nothing had happened. I heard that a few dealerships have reached out to the teen driver but he hasn’t yet decided what his next move is. I’m with a buddy of mine who suggested that GM should feature the truck in one of their commercials like the series they did back in the 80s with Bob Seger’s iconic “Like A Rock” song. And judging by the video above, someone definitely agrees!

Update: I just read that Chevrolet has offered to donate a new truck to the teen.
