It’s Saturday! I started watching the docuseries The Beatles: Get Back on Thanksgiving night and was completely blown away. In 1969 a film crew was allowed to document John, Paul, George, and Ringo as they spent 21 days writing 14 new songs in preparation for their first live concert in over two years. Directed by life-long Beatles fan Peter Jackson, this beautifully remastered footage has never been seen before and offers an intimate look inside the relationships between all four members and their creative process. Watch as some of the world’s most iconic songs are composed and performed. Also featured is their last live performance as a group and the rooftop concert on London’s Savile Row. If you’re a Beatles fan, you’re going to wet your pants when you see this—exclusively on Disney+.

It’s Friday! I hope everyone had a decent Thanksgiving. Mine was really good. We had a small group this year but there was tons of tasty things to eat and my favorite, the pumpkin pie, was fantastic.

And so it begins. Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, the insane rush toward Christmas has begun. Today is known as Black Friday because it’s traditionally the day when millions of shoppers descend on stores in search of big deals. But if you’re old like me, you may remember Cyber Monday. Back before everyone had high speed Internet access in their homes, people would return to work after the Thanksgiving holiday on the following Monday and use their work computer (with the high speed Internet) to order gifts online. Of course employers didn’t like it, but it was tolerated for the most part because buying online was a new concept and just about everyone was doing it. As you might imagine, very little work was accomplished on Cyber Monday.

And that’s your Internet history lesson for today! Get out there and shop or just wait until Cyber Monday!

It’s Thursday. Happy Turkey day everyone. With all the people scurrying around to get where they’re going today, I’m thankful that I can take it easy. Why? Because I’ll be having my Thanksgiving dinner at my parent’s place and they’re only minutes away. My girlfriend is heading downstate to be with her side of the family, so she’ll be on the road with the rest of the maniacs. If you’re doing the same then be careful out there. Better to be late than not arrive at all. 

As always I’ll be starting my Thanksgiving day with my annual viewing of Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. Been doing it for longer than I can remember so it just wouldn’t be the same without it. 

So, take it easy and enjoy the food with family and friends today. Don’t bother with shopping, there will be plenty of time for that starting tomorrow.
