Custom Vette

It’s Wednesday. One of my Canadian readers caught this custom Corvette in the Muskoka region recently. It appears to have the front clip of an 81-82 Vette with an aftermarket L-88 hood, side pipes, headlights, wheels, and the emblem on the nose is from the C7. However, its biggest modification is the fact that it’s a convertible. Chevrolet dropped the convertible option for the Corvette in 1976 and  it didn’t return until sixteen years later in 1986.

One of the reasons I love Corvettes is personalization. There’s a huge number of aftermarket parts available that allow owners to customize their Vette any way they like. Keep it stock, go wild, or even something in the middle—it’s totally up to you.

Hi Keep, Saw this one in the Muskoka region over the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. I believe it has been restored/modified. -Peter

B-Day Amateur Goodness

It’s Tuesday. As I mentioned yesterday, this website had its 26th anniversary back on October 26th. One of my thoughtful readers sent in an amateur photo to commemorate the occasion. After all, what’s a birthday without some candles? Enjoy!

Hey Keep! Wanted to wish your site a happy 26th bday! I’m a daily fan and wanted to send a couple of candles for the occasion. Keep it up! -M

Empty Candy Wrappers

Its Monday. I hope everyone had a good Halloween. Despite it being a windy chilly night, we had a good turnout. There were a few notable costumes like a giant inflatable white chicken, Santa Claus, a toilet, and an actual dog dressed in a silver space suit. I knew I should’ve brought a few of Abby’s dog treats.

I was reminded last week that we had an anniversary. For some reason this always comes as a surprise to me. I started this website back in 1995 on October 26th and have been doing daily updates for apparently 26 years now. That feels very strange to write because it doesn’t feel like it’s been anywhere near that long. Pretty wild for something that’s just a hobby, eh?

The Bears played the 49’ers yesterday and it was another clusterfuck. There were good plays but they still managed to blow it 33 – 22.

Well, welcome to November everyone. Things start moving very quickly from here on out. Halloween becomes Thanksgiving—which becomes Christmas—which becomes New Year’s Eve—which becomes New Year’s Day. Before ya know it, it’s the middle of the damn winter. Not looking forward to that at all.
