Weekend With No Rain

It’s Monday. My drought dance must have been successful because there wasn’t a single drop of rain here all weekend. It was warm Saturday and a beautiful day for a big cookout—which was exactly what we did. We spent the day at my girlfriend’s brother’s place out in the country. It was a big cookout-family-reunion type of thing. There was good food, plenty of drink, swimming, and other outdoor activities. It was nice just being outside again and seeing some family that we hadn’t seen since the start of the pandemic.

Sunday was even warmer so I spent the day outside washing the van. The Vette needs to be washed as well, but I ran out of time so it will have to wait until later in the week. Looking forward to that.

Yeeeee-ha!

It’s Sunday! Check out this jaw-dropping Dukes of Hazard style launch from an overpass berm. Supposedly the car cleared the overpass, went over the telephone lines, but under the power lines for a total distance of roughly 215 feet from the end of the tracks to the impact point. Surprisingly, the woman survived. And the majority of the damage will probably buff-out just fine.

Driving School Prank

It’s Saturday! A driving school thought it would be funny to prank their new instructors on the first day at the job. Here’s how it goes…
