It’s Monday. Had a very lazy weekend this time. It’s back to being cold again and Illinois is pretty much closed, so there’s really not much going on. A Bears game would’ve been nice on Sunday, but they had the weekend off. And lets face it, had they played it would’ve more thank likely resulted in yet another embarrassing loss.
Turkey day is upon us and like everything else this year it will be a completely different experience. My mom is insisting on cooking even though we won’t be coming over for Thanksgiving dinner. As I mentioned before, she’s in her 70s and with my girlfriend being an ICU nurse, we don’t want to risk infecting her. So my mom’s plan is to cook all the usual holiday stuff and have plates dropped off for us. It will definitely be odd, but we’ve been able to get through this year without catching the virus, so why risk it now—especially with a vaccine just around the corner. As long as there’s turkey, gravy, and pumpkin pie in my belly by the end of the afternoon, I’ll be good.

It’s Tuesday. Ack! We’re in for our first measurable appearance of the horrid white stuff today. Probably just an inch or so. It’s supposed to switch over to rain as the day goes on, so it won’t be hanging around for long. If we have to have snow, this is the way to go.
With Thanksgiving just a couple days away, how about a vintage Saturday Night Live clip about the Thanksgiving Day Parade for today?
