It’s Thursday. Wolfgang Van Halen, Eddie’s son, has released his debut single, Distance, from his solo band Mammoth WVH. Wolfgang plays all instruments and sings, calling Distance a deeply personal tribute to his late father, Eddie Van Halen. The Distance video features home video footage of Wolfgang, Eddie, and mother Valerie from his childhood years through recent tours with Van Halen. It ends with a heartfelt voicemail from Eddie.

While the song is incredibly personal, I think anyone can relate to the idea of having a profound loss in their life.
