It’s Thursday. It was last year when Mark Rober, a former NASA engineer, designed and built his first Glitter Bomb Trap to go up against the increasing threat of Porch Pirates. Since then the problem has only gotten worse. This inspired him to go back and revise his design, building a new and improved version. And just like the original, it shoots 360° video of the thief, fires off glitter and fart bombs. This time he has a little help from his friend Sean Hodgins and Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin.

Yesterday I asked if any of my readers using the Firefox browser were experiencing any issues viewing the Babe of the Day. I received a fair number of responses from Firefox users that reported no problems. However, there were a handful that did experience a problem and had resolved it on their own. Here is one reader’s solution, which was echoed by several others. I hope it helps.

I saw on your site that you mentioned that some viewers were having issues viewing the Daily Babes. Using the Firefox browser. A while back I had a week or so go by that all of the site worked except that when I went to view the Daily Babes that all I got was just the blue background screen. I had since found that if you have the McCafe (I can’t spell it) web protection system. Installed with Firefox that it will block out the Babes and show everything else. Especially if you are using Avast like I am on your Desk top. Its not good to have both anti virus systems running at the same time anyway. I uninstalled the McCafe and it restored everything as it should be and all is now normal again. You might want to pass this along to anyone having issues viewing your site.

It’s Wednesday. Abby made it through her surgery yesterday without any complications. They were able to install an external fixator on her back leg that will keep the bone stabilized yet allow her to be mobile. We picked her up late last night and brought her home where she’s resting comfortably. In the next few days we have to restrict her movements to light walking and make sure her bandages remain clean & dry. Right now she just needs rest and to not chase the cat.

Over the past several days many of you wrote in to offer kind words, personal experiences, and even donations to help with the ample expenses. I just want to say thanks, I really appreciate your concern and loved the many photos sent in of your own pets. I didn’t mean to dominate my Daily Comments section with Abby updates, but that’s kinda what happened. I’ll return to my usual rantings and off-color content that everyone has come to love over the years (ha!). Again, thanks.

One bit of serious business, has anyone had trouble viewing the daily babes? I’ve been made aware of one reader’s issues viewing them with Firefox. I want to know if there are others and what the specific issue is. Thanks!

It’s Tuesday. Well, Abby had her visit with the doctor yesterday and it was decided that she will undergo surgery to repair her broken tibia. The doctor explained that this is the best option for her.  She explained that there were a number of advantages proceeding with a surgical repair, one of which is she won’t have such a restrictive cast limiting her mobility while she heals. I’m apprehensive about this but I like the doctor and I think she understands what’s best for Abby.

Now we wait.
