It’s Wednesday. Just wanted to take a moment to wish all of you a Merry Christmas. We had a nice dinner and exchanged gifts last night, so the only thing going on today is a late afternoon dinner back at my parent’s place. They’re cooking up a big-ass ham so there’s no way that I’m going to miss that!

With the temperature reaching into the upper 50s today, there’s very little hope for a white Christmas in the Chicagoland area this year. Actually, I heard that today will place in the top 5 of the warmest Chicago Christmases list. Everything may be green, but it sure beats the hell out of freezing our asses off!

Enjoy a special holiday edition Babemania today!

It’s Tuesday. Well, I hope everyone has their shopping done because Christmas Eve has arrived. The girlfriend and I will be heading over to my parent’s place tonight for dinner and gifts with the rest of the family. We’ve done this on Christmas Eve as far back as I can remember. I’m looking forward to taking it easy and eating far more than I should!

Oh, went to leave last night and found a cat in our garage. She was just sitting there by the door. Fortunately, our cat and dog saw did not see her. We thought that she would just move on, but that wasn’t the case. We noticed that she has both front and back claws removed so she’s definitely someone’s house cat. We also had her checked for a chip and found that she has one, but it was never registered. So, we made a bed for her in an old kennel out in the garage and gave her water, food, and some kitty litter. I put up signs around the area and hope someone calls soon. If not, my sister has agreed to take it.

It’s Monday. So, here we are, the Eve of Christmas Eve. Got your shopping done yet? I heard it was absolutely nuts out there over the weekend. I’m happy to say that I’m done with mine, and even better, I didn’t have to go into a single store or mall to get it done. Now it’s time to kick back and relax because I’m done working until next year!

We had some snow on the ground from an earlier dusting but that’s all gone now due to some unseasonably warm temperatures that moved in over the weekend. One thing is for sure, with the temperature in the 50s for the next several days, a green Christmas is a certainty for Illinois. It’s a win for Heat Miser!

Abby Update: She is recovering remarkably well. Her cast was replaced by an external fixator so she’s much more comfortable now. She’s getting around very well and is back to her normal playful self. She goes in for her first followup with the doctor Tuesday morning. If everything goes well, they’ll remove the bandaging around the external fixator.
