It’s Tuesday. I hope everyone had a good Labor Day and enjoyed the special 50 holiday babes! We had a good time down at my girlfriend’s parents place with her family. The weather was actually very nice so we were able to enjoy the day out on their deck. We took our newest member of the family with us and she was a huge hit. Her name is Abby and she’s just over 8 weeks old. She a Sheepadoodle (part sheepdog and poodle) so she won’t shed and should have a milder temperament. She seems pretty smart, too. 

We still have our kitty and have been slowly introducing her to Abby. So far so good, but I’m sure there will be conflict somewhere along the line. Just taking it one day at a time.

It’s Monday. Considering those on the east coast currently under the threat of hurricane Dorian, I won’t complain (much) about our crappy Labor Day weather here in Illinois. We had some sun on Friday but that quickly gave way to clouds and rain. The clouds and cooler temperatures stuck with us all day Sunday and will possibly remain through today as well. Not the greatest holiday weather, but at least our crappy weather isn’t trying to kill us.

So, today the girlfriend and I are heading down to her parents place in Mahomet, Illinois. They sold their place on Lake Sara a few years ago, so our days of jet-setting (ha!) out on the lake are over. Instead, we’ll be doing some grilling and chillin’ which is just fine with me.
