Friday Amateur

It’s Friday! Well, now that Nascar has closed out the 2024 season and awarded the championship to Joey Logano, my options for Sunday sports entertainment are reduced to Bears football. If you’ve seen them play this year, or nearly any year in the past other than 1985, then you can understand my pain. And to twist the knife even deeper, they play the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. So, yeah.

What else is going on? The days are rapidly getting shorter, the trees are bare, it’s dark & gloomy by late afternoon, and it’s getting increasingly colder. All of those things sum up perfectly why I hate this time of year. Ugh.

It’s time to wrap this week up so I’ll mention that I have a new reader submitted amateur photo to share with all of you today. And of course, there’s also double babes & double jokes. Enjoy…

Thanksgiving Skeletons

It’s Thursday. Thanksgiving is still two weeks from today, but people have already begun decorating their homes with Christmas lights and inflatable snowmen and such. Where’s the love for Thanksgiving, I ask? Well, every year there’s one house in my neighborhood that has an actual Thanksgiving display. And when Thanksgiving rolls around, they take a couple skeletons from the Halloween display and dress ’em up as a pilgrims and native Americans! The scene varies every year, but they always come up with something clever or funny specifically for Thanksgiving. It’s just refreshing seeing an actual Thanksgiving display instead of jumping right into all the Christmas stuff.

Famous Countach Turns 45

It’s Wednesday. Remember Adrienne Barbeau and Tara Buckman, the two actresses who drove the iconic Lamborghini Countach LP 400 S in the 1981 movie “The Cannonball Run?” To celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Countach, they reunited the two actresses with the original black 1979 Countach used in the film. Adrienne and Tara take a fun look back at the movie that introduced the world to what would become one of the most iconic cars in history.
