It’s Friday! Saw my Infectious Disease doctor yesterday, and I finally got the green light to stop the IV infusions and antibiotics. That’s huge news because they were absolutely wreaking havoc on my gut. Even better, the day before that I was finally freed from the Wound Vac. It isn’t completely healed yet, but it’s now small enough that I no longer need the Vac. After weeks of dealing with all this, it feels good to be making some progress.

We’re expecting nearly three inches of rain between Friday and Saturday. Thankfully, Sunday looks like it’ll stay dry, although temperatures will only reach the low 70s. Nobody bothered to tell me that fall was arriving at the end of July.
